Estes Park, Colorado
Photos from the Past
An alluvial fan caused by the 1982, Lawn Lake Dam burst, taken a week after the flood. For those that remember this the dam was privately owned, by a company from the eastern slope who sold the water from the park. 4 dead and millions in damage, no one ever claimed responsibility. The slogan of those days was, life's a bitch, with farmers ditch.
